Scarborough Athletic 3-0 Prescot Cables

Away Day Blues

Prolific duo James Walshaw & Michael Coulson put Cables to the sword in a comprehensive victory for the league leaders.

The Cables' goal has led a charmed life before Walshaw emphatically struck for Scarborough, Coulson soon doubling the lead finishing well once played in one-on-one with Ben Barnes.

Baba Conte saw a towering header from a corner rebound off the post shortly before half time.

Scarborough's dominance continued through the second half with Barnes making a number of quality saves before Coulson's second on 87 minutes, following in to finish from close range after Barnes had partied a drilled effort.

Cables substitute Matt Hamilton was denied late on when an acrobatic effort came back off the post but Boro keeper Taylor was largely untroubled on the day.

Prescot Cables now have three home games on the spin on consecutive Saturdays versus Goole AFC (3rd Feb), Tadcaster Albion (10th Feb) & Ramsbottom Utd (17th Feb).
