Prescot Cables 1-2 Glossop North End

Cables come short

Two in form sides put on a great display for the crowd at Volair Park with the visitors deservedly coming out on top.

Chris Baguely gave Glossop the lead shortly before half time with a fine curling effort from the edge of the box.

Cables captain James McCulloch restored parity within minutes of the restart sweeping home a corner at the near post, his day was to turn sour though as he was later to be dismissed for serious foul play.

Cables keeper Ben Barnes had made two outstanding saves as Glossop cranked up the pressure and it was Bradley Roscoe who swept the call home from a corner at the second attempt to give the visitors the three points.

Prescot Cables travel to Scarborough Athletic next Saturday before hosting Goole AFC on Saturday 3rd February.
